FAQ
-
Why are there only 30 pieces per month? We wanted to keep the business small at first. One product per day (roughly) seemed like a great starting point. As we grow, we hope to increase that monthly amount steadily.
-
Can I view past collections?Yes! You can see previously sold pieces over on our Instagram account @thedaisychainshopuk
-
Where do you source the pieces? From literally all over the world. We're always on the look out for great vintage or second hand pieces, no matter where we go. They're from a vast variety of markets, vintage shops, charity shops, thrift stores, estate sales, online auctions etc. Sometimes pieces come with great back stories or owners, sometimes they are something of an enigma. We only buy pieces that we love, so that everything that is sold by us has taken a lot of careful consideration on whether it should be kept or if we should part with it and it go to a new and loving home.
-
What's with the shop name?We named it after our daughter! One day, if the business is successful, she can own and run it if she likes. As we sell clothing and accessories that have already come from one (or more) previous owners and will move through the circular fashion chain, and potentially on again after you, it reminded us of the sequential nature of building a real life Daisy chain and so it felt like fate.
-
Can I sell my items through you?If you're thinking of having a wardrobe clear out but don't know where to start or feel overwhelmed, drop us a message! We have a set plan of each collection for every month so your pieces may slot in perfectly, and if not we can sell in other ways. We can buy items from you in bulk directly so that you can get instantly paid and not stress over any commission rates etc.
-
What countries do you ship to?Currently we only ship to the UK. If you're an international customer who is desperate to get your hands on some of our pieces, drop us an email and I'll see what we can do. Brexit has made European shipping somewhat of a nightmare, so please bear in mind import taxes are something we have zero control over. Sadly.
-
What shipping method do you use?We ship with Royal Mail Tracked 48 service which should arrive with you in 2 business days. If you need an order quicker than that, please let us know and we'll work our magic!
-
How much does shipping cost?Shipping costs with Royal Mail Tracked 48 for parcels under 2kg is £3.39 to UK addresses. Parcels weighing between 2-10kg are £5.09. We reserve the right to increase the price of shipping if Royal Mail increases their prices.
-
Do you ship with any other companies? Not currently as personal experience has rendered Royal Mail the most reliable. If you would prefer a different delivery service, please email us and let us know!
-
Do you do returns?Yes we do! If you've changed your mind about your purchase, or if you're not completely satisfied with a product, we're here to help. We offer returns within 14 days of receiving your order, this means you need to receive, open and start a return process with us within that time. Returns outside of this timeframe are unfortunately not something we can facilitate.
-
Are they free?Unfortunately not. We're a very small business and so thought long and hard about offering free returns to customers, but we can't currently afford to offer that. This will hopefully change in the near future!
-
How do I return my order?Drop us an email should you wish to return, and we'll start the return process and let you know the return address. We'll also let you know the safest and most affordable shipping option you should purchase to get the goods back to us which is trackable to keep both parties happy.
-
When will I get my refund?Once we've received your return, we will process it and refund you within 14 calendar days.
-
Do you have a customer care email address?Yes! Drop us a line anytime on thedaisychain.ukshop@gmail.com. Like most Millennials, i'm on my phone pretty much all the time so will endeavour to reply to all enquiries within 1 business day.
-
Is there a phone number to speak to a real person? Not yet. But I can confirm real human beings run this business, and we'll get a phone line once we grow a little bit bigger.
